Kenny Omega Allegedly Dealing With Multiple Injuries

According to recent reports from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter‘s Dave Meltzer, AEW World Champion Kenny Omega is dealing with several injuries. Allegedly, Omega has been plagued by these injuries for a while and it is catching up with him.

In reference to Omega’s health, Meltzer would go on to say:

“Omega is hurting pretty badly between slicing up his hand and needing seven stitches when he delivered the fourth belt shot on Pac in the three-way (the one with the AEW belt which is especially sharp), a deep bone bruise near his tailbone, the normal wear and tear on his knees and an athletic hernia. He was also suffering from a stomach virus this past week. But he’s definitely in a lot of pain getting through the recent big matches.”

Kenny Omega is currently scheduled to defend his Impact World Championship at Impact Wrestling’s Against All Odds 2021 PPV. This main event will emanate from Daily’s Place (the Florida home of All Elite Wrestling.)

Omega’s wrestling ability is among the upper-echelon in professional wrestling, and there is no doubt that his championship defense this weekend will be stellar. Omega is also slated to defend his AEW World Championship against Jungle Boy on AEW Dynamite soon. He’s even going to be defending his AAA Mega Championship soon against AEW’s newest signee, Andrade El Idolo. Being a champion is nice, but is Kenny Omega paying the price?
