Former WWE Superstar Signs Deal With NJPW

Today, Fred Rosser (formerly known as Darren Young) made a statement on Twitter regarding his contractual placement with New Japan Pro Wrestling. Rosser would excitedly announce:

“I’m excited to officially announce I’ve signed w/ NJPW! All I can say moving forward is, don’t ever let your dreams just be dreams because as long as you’re patient & believe in your dreams, anything is possible. Patience is a talent.”

Following his WWE release in 2017, Rosser took a brief hiatus from professional wrestling. However, he would make his return at Big Time Wrestling in Milpitas, California. He would go on to compete for different independent promotions for the next few years, including Chikara. Rosser would eventually get his next big break when he debuted for New Japan Pro Wrestling on September 4, 2020. At NJPW Strong – Fighting Spirit Unleashed, Fred Rosser would team with Alex Zayne to defeat Clark Connors and The DKC. Ever since then, Rosser has been competing for New Japan Pro Wrestling, the National Wrestling Alliance, and various other promotions.

Now that Rosser has signed with the Japanese promotion, there is no certainty on if he will compete for the NWA in the future. Rosser’s last match (as of this writing) took place at NWA When Our Shadows Fall where Rosser would fall to former WWE superstar JTG. How will Rosser fair in NJPW? Time will only tell.

We here at Powerbomb Post would like to congratulate Rosser on his exclusive signing with New Japan Pro Wrestling.
