WWE Monday Night Raw Results and Ratings (July 19, 2021)
WWE Monday Night Raw comes from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, featuring all the fallout from the Money in the Bank pay-per-view (PPV) that went down just last night in Fort Worth. Advertised for tonight: John Cena returns to the show — he’ll actually be kicking things off — to explain his motivations for returning to confront Roman Reigns, Bobby Lashley is still WWE champion and is looking for his next title challenger, Nikki A.S.H. is the women’s Money in the Bank contract holder, and more!
The show opens with John Cena making his entrance. He cuts a massive promo as usual. He said in part “This pathetic Roman Reigns experience has gone on long enough, and he’s an arrogant, self-absorbed, overhyped, overprotected, overexposed gimmick who isn’t as over as he says he is. And that’s coming from John Cena! There’s a saying, if you’re good, you ask everyone to say you’re great, and he asks the crowd to demonstrate that.”
AJ Styles, John Morrison, & Omos vs. Matt Riddle & Viking Raiders
Riddle and Styles to start, side headlock, shot off, shoulder block, off the ropes, drop down, Matt plants him with a kick and a back body drop! John Morrison then enters the match and begins to spar with Riddle. They tag out and chaos begins! Two big moves are missed from the top rope! Riddle steals the drip stick and squirts Omos before leaving the toy with Miz and incriminating him! Omos stalks after Miz, Morrison tries to help his friend, but the big man throws him back in the ring! Vikings pop him up. Matt Riddle & Viking Raiders win by pinfall with the Viking Experience from the Raiders on John Morrison.

The camera cuts to Jaxson Ryker is staring at us backstage before we cut away to a recap of his strap match against Elias.
Symphony of Destruction Match:
Elias vs. Jaxson Ryker
The match begins as you would expect. With instruments all around the outside, Elias and Jaxson waste little time putting them to use. They continue to beat the Hell out of each other. There was no real technical precision, just punches, and guitars. Jaxson even attempts to gain a pinfall on a piano. Jaxson gets the win after hitting a huge Superplex to the outside through two tables!
Match Result: Jaxson Ryker defeated Elias via Pinfall in 12:50
Jerry’s Star Rating: 2.5 Star Match
Charlotte Flair comes out and cuts a promo about being the only 11-time women’s champion in history. Rhea Ripley interrupts and challenges her to a rematch for the title. Management grants her wish. Charlotte takes a shot at Ripley’s knee and exits the ring.
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship #1 Contender’s Match: Natalya (c.) & Tamina (c.) vs. Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler
The match was in progress after the commercial. Baszler has a heel hook locked in on Natalya. Jax takes Tamina out on the floor, Shayna with a knee to Neidhart, cover for two! Natalya gets a little bit of a comeback after Nia tags in but she can’t keep the rally rolling! Tag to Snuka, boot takes Jax off the apron! Natalya & Tamina win by pinfall with a superkick from Tamina on Shayna Baszler.
Match Result: Natalya (c.) & Tamina (c.) defeated Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler via Pinfall in 3:45.
Jerry’s Star Rating: 1 Star Match
Post-match, Baszler argues with Nia and tries to convince her that Reggie is the problem and Nia turns on him! Then, Akira Tozawa runs away from the 24/7 Championship scene and laughs at them for stumbling on the ramp, he gets into it with Reginald, standing tornillo, cartwheel senton. Reginald wins the 24/7 Championship!
WWE United States Championship #1 Contender Match:
Humberto Carrillo vs. Sheamus
The match starts fast out of the gate as Carrillo tries to use his speed to his advantage. He goes to the top rope and hits a big cross-body on Sheamus. But the Celtic Warrior slows the momentum with a powerbomb on the ring apron. He starts to use his power to his advantage, but Carrillo keeps fighting as he aims for Sheamus’ broken nose. But Sheamus ultimately hits a headbutt and a Brogue Kick for the win.
Match Result: Sheamus defeated Humberto Carrillo via Pinfall in 10:15.
Jerry’s Star Rating: 3 Star Match
Bobby Lashley makes his entrance, flanked by Montel Vontavious Porter, ready for his open challenge. Keith Lee comes out!
WWE Championship Match:
Bobby Lashley vs. Keith Lee
The two monsters lock up. Lee explodes and pushes Lashley into the corner and quickly takes advantage with a couple of big moves. But Bobby plants lee’s face into the mat and takes control. The fight spills to the outside and Lashley hits a big spear. They roll back in the ring and Lee breaks out of the Hurt Lock. Just when you think the momentum is shifting Lashley hits a big spine-buster and lies in wait. Bobby Lashley wins by pinfall with the spear.
Match Result: Bobby Lashley defeated Keith Lee via Pinfall in 5:55.
Jerry’s Star Rating: 3 Star Match
Post-match… GOLDBERG IS HERE! He strides to the ring and gets in Lashley’s face. HE’S NEXT! MVP pulls Bob away and barely manages to keep the champ back!
Jinder Mahal is in the ring with Veer and Shanky. It’s his birthday! He invites everyone to join in as Shanky sings him a happy birthday, but Drew McIntyre attacks with a chair and lays Veer and Jinder out! Shanky is left along with him, McIntyre opens his arms wide as if to back off in peace but instead wails on Shanky with the steel chair! The chair mangled, Drew throws it aside and takes his shirt off, leaving the ring for a fresh chair. He hammers Shanky with more chair shots, the crowd counting along!
Karrion Kross vs Jeff Hardy
Hardy with a side headlock, shot off, Kross cuts him off and puts boots to him! Drawing him back up, exploder suplex, he goes for another one, but Hardy sidesteps and he eats post! Hardy hits a Front kick, Twist of Fate, and heads to the top. But NOBODY IS HOME ON THE SWANTON BOMB! Jeff goes behind, then, Hardy with a folding press and his feet on the ropes. Jeff Hardy gets the win.
Match Result: Jeff Hardy defeated Karrion Kross via Pinfall in 1:40.

WWE Raw Women’s Championship Match:
Charlotte Flair (c.) vs. Rhea Ripley
The match starts and Rhea seems to get injured pretty quickly. Flair goes on the attack and targets the injured knee. Rhea begins to fight back and gain momentum. Charlotte goes for her signature moonsault, but Rhea reverses. Then Rhea locked in a figure-four leg lock, but Flair escaped. Then Bang! Out of nowhere a Rip Tide! Right when you think it’s over, flair has her foot on the rope. She quickly exits the ring and gets herself disqualified to retain the title.
Match Result: Rhea Ripley defeated Charlotte Flair via Disqualification in 12:25.
Jerry’s Star Rating: 3 Star Match
Post-match Nikki A.S.H. cashes in on an incapacitated Charlotte and wins the Raw Women’s Title! The show ends.
Raw has been tough to watch lately, but this week was very eventful. Great episode!
